Re: Some of my best bolts
You aren't breaking any rules by posting that stuff here. Your thread is appropriate for this forum by being about your larger GM trucks. It's your thread and you can let it drift off course if you want.

Re: Some of my best bolts
thanks Special K, I'll try to post a few pics here again, it may tell me if its just the alternate tinkering forum I'm having problems uploading to or the whole thing, I'll try a few Acar pics right now. OK, I just tried to upload photos here and I still get the notice that a securty token is missing, what ever that is? Looks like I'm out of the photo business, anyone got an extra securty token I can borrow. Does anyone know what this notice is?

Peanutbutter, I'm going to report the problem in the mod area and we'll see what's going on. You can also report it in the Site Feedback Forum to double up the responses. And, yes, Tim's right. Anything related to the bigger trucks is appropriate here from now on.. Because we didn't have this forum a while ago, Alternate Tinkerings would have been the go-to place...but No more. We now have this forum for our big stuff, so you are fine here. I'm avidly following your thread. Wow…talk about timing! We just started the mid and heavy forum a couple months back and here you are! Neat stable and, I must admit, I’m totally smitten with the white truck. Luck you. Keep on posting specs and pics and you have our eyes & ears. Welcome to the HH forum and the board!

Ellen, just a little side note, how about putting Heavy Haulers on the Home screen Menu. I did not even know it existed until I ran into it by accident. Just a suggestion.........

Re: Some of my best bolts
I get that security token thing when I try to load all 5 images at once...even loading more than one. I think it's because the images are larger than the site is set up for which makes it take so long they time out,so you get that message. It happens when I try to attach a video, too, because of the time thing. I just load one at a time and it works fine. For videos I put those on Photobucket, then cut & paste here.

Re: Some of my best bolts
Yes, you are right, wait till you see what we did to day, pics to follow. The acar was easier than the 900W today and I have a perfectly good Hyster 25 ton folding gooseneck lowboy at home with no plates, insurance and dot inspection on it yet, maybe next month.

Re: Some of my best bolts
Now kids, don't try this at home. Only had 30 miles to go. I just didn't have all the money to do plates, insurance and dot inspections on my 69 pete and hyster lowboy, but I'm working on it, costs alot of money to keep big iron on the road these days.

Re: Some of my best bolts
HA! Great haul pics. Reminds me of the day I sold my 59 10400 series. Guy shows up with a Dodge Cummins 3/4 ton and a tri axle bumper pull. We got it loaded and looked eerily like you KW pics. Rear drive axle barely made it onto the trailer and the tag axle was floatin' in the breeze. Guy lived about 45 minutes down the road, took him 2 1/2 hours to get home Trailer swayed like crazy. Couldn't go above about 30mph. on the other hand, I scored a rust free 72 bed off the guy about 2 months later.

Re: Some of my best bolts
Sindy was hunting flags while I was taking pics, I also put 7 chains on it, I didn't take any chances, it just looks a little odd. It was only about 12000 lbs, Ive hauled 18000 on that trailer many times, its ugly but its a work horse. Would be nice to have the hyster on the road, I'll start a new post on that in a few minutes.
