fuel sending unit
i put a motor and trans from a 85 into my 71. i switched it from a 3speed manual to a automatic. do ineed to get a new sending unit? cause for some reason she aint getting no fuel

What size fuel line do you have? If it is not 3/8" then you will want to change out the fuel line and the sending unit.
If it is a 3/8" line then make sure that it is not plugged up. You can also pull the sending unit to check out the pickup screen to make sure it is not plugged. Jim

Any chance you damaged the fuel line during the swap? It runs down the bottom of the floor near back of trans. If no fuel at all now but good before it might be your problem.

the rubber line that goes from where the steel line ends by motor mounts says 5/16. i think it is plugged though. im gonna blow lines out and pull sending unit and check that out. i might as well pull fuel line off carb and check it too. i dont think lines got damaged during swap but ill put it on the lift and check all of it.
