New member need opinions on a truck
New member here, I have been viewing as a guest for awhile and decided to join. I've owned a 67 short bed and a 72 long bed years ago when you could get them for a few hundred bucks and have been looking to buy another. I found a 72 Sierra Grande, Camper Special, with these options, big block, ps, pb, a/c, dual gas tanks, sliding rear window, dual batteries, tilt wheel, roof marker lights, power lock rear axle, parchment trim, tool stowage box, and a few other options. The truck is in good shape, runs and drives great, has a small rust spot on the tool box door and needs new wood in the bed. I can get this truck for $4,000 and wanted to get some of your thoughts on the truck before I pull the trigger. Thanks in advance Chris |

Re: New member need opinions on a truck
We would need to see some real pictures of it. New paint can hide a lot!

Re: New member need opinions on a truck
Thanks for the welcome and the replies I appreciate it. The truck has the original paint so I don't think there is anything hidden. I'm going to go ahead and pick it up. I'll post some better pics once I get it home. Thanks again.

Re: New member need opinions on a truck
Welcome from a fellow Texan.
I would wear old clothes when you go to get it and lay under it and look at the cab supports, cab corners, behind the rocker panels, radiator core support just to name a few. All those are easy to replace if needed but it would affect the price.

Re: New member need opinions on a truck
Welcome Chris, Mike here from Oregon. Sounds like a good deal. Better get it while you can! Big block lots of nice options, can't go wrong. Don't know what the rust is like down there, but it can't be that bad. Enjoy your new ride.

Crawl under it. If it looks good, I'd buy it!

Welcome also from Central Florida!
I take a flashlight, magnet, cash and handgun when I go look at these trucks now. Good luck with your purchase.
