Intake spacer question

So I have an aftermarket (Weiand) INTAKE with a spacer on it. The issue I'm having is that the spacer puts my throttle cable at an awkward angle which makes my gas peddle go from nothing to everything in a hurry. This is a problem with my 4 speed manual.

So, do any of you guys know of anyone that makes a bracket to raise the position of the throttle cable? Something that will go around the back of the carb just to lift it a little?

Have any of you guys encountered this problem? Here's a pic of my throttle cable -

The bracket has bolts that mount it too intake remove them and get longer bolts and stack flat washers between bottom of bracket ind intake ............washers serve as a spacer tom raise it up off the intake

Re: Intake spacer question

Get the other throttle bracket. Your local parts store should have one.

In your pic you have the transmission cable bracket and not the upper throttle bracket

exactly, you need the bracket that attaches to carb, spacer height wont matter then

Re: Intake spacer question

I'm with Redcap. Get a bracket. Factory used one that bolted to the carb base. See what the auto parts store has and maybe a trip to the salvage yard.
