What parts are still available through GM

I know there are probably not a whole lot left from GM but can you guys post what is still available. If you have part numbers that would be a plus as well. I am sure this kind of information would be useful to other members too.

I was checking for a bumper apron filler panel and my painter told me that it was still available. I was kind of shocked. So if any of you know that there are certain parts to be had then please post it up. Bonus points for part numbers!

Hood hinges, door hinges, lots of stuff actually depends on the parts guy and how deep he will search.

Re: What parts are still available through GM

When I did my resto I ordered alot of parts from my local dealer. Door seals , window fussys , carpet, dash pad just to name a few. I would not hesitate to contact your local dealer for parts to check. There nothing like oem parts to fit proper. They do cost more but worth it.

Yeah I don't mind paying more for OEM stuff. I am going to need some interior parts for mine before too long. I would rather have the correct parts verse aftermarket if possible.

I just figured if members would post what they knew what was available then it would help others find good parts.

Yep, if you find a good parts department with a guy that cares enough to help you out there's quite a bit of stuff out there. Might not be in a warehouse anymore but it's collecting dust on a shelf in some other dealer's store room or something. My experience has been most big busy dealers with flashy signs and showrooms aren't interested in looking up parts for anything out of warranty, takes too long and when you're paid on commission time wasted looking for an obsolete part is time that could have been spent looking up a hundred easier to find parts. You have to find a good old fashioned dealer that's not so busy been around for a while with parts staff that remembers when these trucks were new in the showroom. Not alot of places like that left but there still out there!
