Looking for a guide to troubleshoot and testing of sending unit without dropping the tank.

I don't know how to test it but is your gauge pointing to the right? First check the wiring and especially grounding.

from what i've seen
E (stuck)can mean the sender wire is shorted to ground over F can mean the sender wire is off or open

It's on full position and I'm thinking bad sending unit. Does anyone know the stock tank capacity? Time to lower tank and check for power.
