66 truck pics and new seat cover

Guys, I just finished putting in my new seat cover. I had it made by Automotive Interiors and Accessories inc and they sent it to me. They did a nice job and it was fairly easy to fit. I used the stock GM C-clips to attach it to the seat frame not hog rings. I wanted something that looked classic not modern and still match the original cab colors which I will keep when I repaint it in the future.

Thats all for now.

Re: 66 truck pics and new seat cover

I got the new covers at Automotive Interiors and Accessories inc. They have a website where you can custom design your own seat design and colors using their design options. The price was very reasonable and the quality is just as good as I have seen. I did rebuild the seat foam before I recovered the seat so it would be plump and confortable. I picked Desert Sand for the trim and Bone White for the pleats to match the custom cab white painted accents. You can request vinyl samples before you order too. Check them out. Later, )bone(

Seat looks great, nice color choice. Really like the appearance of the whole truck. I just aquired a 63 the same color scheme. Do you have a build thread for this truck at all?

Sorry I have no build thread, but my next project is to paint and mount my 6 lug steelies. They'll be black with the chrome stock Chevy truck caps and thin white wall tires.

I would like to see your 63 as well. post some pics.

If you don't mind us asking....what was the cost? Were they affordable, how were they time wise on getting it done and to you? The quality and fit look good from what I see.

No I don't mind. With the options I picked they were $285 shipped, it took right at 3 weeks from when I ordered them till I received them.

One thing is the pattern is sized to use the stock GM c-clips for installation, there may not be enough material to wrap around for hog rings. But the c-clips were easy to use. I have a source for purchasing them if you need them, but I had to buy a box of 500!!

Re: 66 truck pics and new seat cover

I did my seat 2 years ago and also ued the c clips instead of the hog rings. I want to do the 63 deluxe seat now. Im wondering if I get the cloth inserts if they can sew it for me. I want to replace the main color (fawn or red) with royal blue to better match my color im going with on the interior.

Give them a call after you check out their website, I believe they will do custom covers as well. good luck.

Beautiful truck! Ya gotta tell us, how much did you lower each end? What size tires are you running?

The PO did the lowering, 3" springs in the rear, 2 1/2" dropped spindles and 2" springs in the front. The tires are 235/70R 15's. Hope that helps.
