71 side molding
does anyone know how to put molding on a 67 72 that dis not come with molding?

i think that LMC and others have the molding and clips that you need ,and i think they also have the instructions on where the clips go. i have seen a thread on here that tells where they go also. might do a search and see what comes up.

The assembly manual has the locations of the moldings and there are other sources. What exactly are you trying to do?

I just used silicone to glue mine on. They are stuck on there really well. I doubt I could get them off without destroying them. Didnt have to drill any holes or deal with adhesive clips falling off. Easy and cheap. Silicone cost me $3.

I assume you're talking about the lower trim band?
LMC has the mounting hardware that fits in the channel on the back of the molding, but has adhesive tape to stick to your paint. They have these on the truck in their showroom, but I'm not impressed with the quality of the adhesive. I would buy the clips and replace the supplied adhesive with 3M mounting tape. I'll be doing this when I reinstall my trim. |
