Re: Truck Shootout Wheelstand
But I have to ask,,, how much damage when it came down? The front frame is pretty stout but WOW you dropped a lot of weight from ohhhhh about 12' frickin feet in the air. LOL,, Had to be a fun ride! Looks like it was wandering out of the groove tho. (?)
Oh, what kind of 48' time (60' - wheel base and tripping the timers with the backtires! )

Re: Truck Shootout Wheelstand
Marv,
Wouldn't that be more like a 68' - 72' time rather than a 48' time? It would be 60' plus the distance from the front tires to the rear. I don't remember what are wheelbase is, but 12' does seem a little long. 8' being 96" and 10' being 120" Been a while since I could give you a hard time Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Truck Shootout Wheelstand
Marv no major damage. One fan did come loose from the radiator and was laying on the crossmember. Also blew the main feed wire fuse to the cab so fought some electrical issues rest of the day. Did'nt get the time slip so not sure what 60' ish was Made 2 more passes after wheelstand and last pass blew the fuse again. Had just finished a major rewire but think I figured out the problem.

Re: Truck Shootout Wheelstand
Yes yes yes... Hey,, after the week I've had I don't know if I'm coming or going, adding or subtracting!! (APPARENTLY!!!!) LOL Man here's a little clip of last time I put down sparks like that I got to buy a new oil pan and it prompted a total front-half.
Hopefully yours was all crossmember and not pan / lower control arms etc.

Re: Truck Shootout Wheelstand
Moggey 31x14 D5 Goodyears . Just bought a pair of Goodyear 315/60-15 drag radials just waiting on new rims to get here. Curious to see how they work , haven't seen to many reviews on them.
Marv lower control arms only thankfully. Sent nitrous system to Wilson last week , had a nitrous solenoid not working and system has sat for awhile so they are going to check whole system out. Also getting them to flow both stages to get me a good tune . Will take some of the time out of changing jets at the track. A 87n/82f 250hit off the brake I now know what it will do.
