That was quite the setup back in the day. Parts of it are still in pretty good shape.

I agree, that's a pretty nice truck. if someone is comfortable with some fairly involved rust repair, could have yourself a real nice truck when done. agree with tim, love the color combo.

I'm just glad it is not a Longhorn and/or that does not have parchment buckets. That would cause too much sleeplessness and domestic discord. :-) An 8' Alaskan camper would look great on this truck.

Hey Tim, it's a 72 and I missed earlier that it's a Custom Camper too. (just noticed it on the SPID). Looks VERY original , I wonder where the nameplates are on the door? I don't even detect any holes where someone grabbed em maybe. Or, I'm just not seeing them becasue the pic isn't at the right angle or something, maybe.

I never noticed the two tone paint which makes it even better. I notice it has the factory tach and that doesn't show on the spid, so does that mean it came standard with the Cheyenne Super Package? The seller says its a 454 and I wonder is it, or is he thinking it is not knowing 72's came with the 402.

tach not a part of the super pkg, must've just been added. It came with a 402, but it would appear (valve covers, anyway) to be a later model mid-90's-ish 454 installed, i.e. non-original.

Joe - are you seeing it as a 2-tone now? I assumed the roof was painted dk olive to make it a single color (but was only originally med over dk olive per the spid). I'm not positive about how it is now, looks dk olive all over.

I never noticed the 2-tone either. Very subtle.

The truck has had at least the roof repainted. The med olive is a subtle contrast to the dark olive. Here is a 557 and the mirror 556 code pictured below.
The tach was not included in any trim package and must have been added.
The camper emblems probably disappeared in the touch up.
The driver's mirror is a later style replacement.
Its been a long time since it was new and it may very well have a later replacement 454.

it sure is nice though - that would be a GREAT resto candidate. Very special truck when done.

I like the dark roof (556) paint scheme better. I couldn't help myself and threw a bid on it.
