How can you tell if used stock rims are good?
What should you look out for when buying used stock rims? I looked for a rim/tire thread and couldn't find one, if there is please re-direct me.
I know things like obvious dents on the edges and massive rust are factors but what about them being trued? Is there a way to test the rims for that not having to take them to a tire shop? Thanks. |

Inspect them well and spin them up on a balancer to check if they are true.

If you don't want to journey to the tire shop to get them spun on a balancer just jack your truck up and bolt the wheel on and spin it. Set something next to the wheel edge to use as a sight to see if its wobbling.
