Bagged with Air Conditioning

I'm new to the forums and have been a fan of these trucks for years. I haven't had a bagged ride in 10 years and I'm currently planning my next build. I haven't found the "perfect" truck yet but I keep watching for a Cheyenne Super or Sierra Grande but mostly I'm looking for one with AC and some options. My question is how many of you guys have a frame laying truck (dropmember or sectioned crossmember) and have maintained your AC unit. Is this even possible and if so can you guys post up some build thread links with engine bay shots and wheel/tire combos as well.

I've searched off and on quite a few times and can't seem to find any threads on the subject or I'm just not using the right terms, so sorry if its a repeat question.

Welcome to the forum! It can be done. Have you looked through the build threads in the projects and builds section of the forum? Lots of info in there.

I've looked through quite a few and don't think I've seen a bagged ac one... But then again I usually get lost drooling over 20 pages of amazing work and get sidetracked

Re: Bagged with Air Conditioning

You can do bags for sure. Just can't run a dropmember and a 24" wheel up front with a 30" tire. If you run a 27" tire I don't see a problem that you can't overcome. You can also run vintage air instead of factory ac.

Re: Bagged with Air Conditioning

I figured the biggest limitation would be the wheel/tire combo so I was hoping I could make it happen with a 20" wheel up front.

Re: Bagged with Air Conditioning

255/35r20 is 27" diameter. That's what I am going to run on mine up front. It's the same size as my current 215/70r15
