Re: tire size help please!!

I just did the same conversion, except I used McGaughy's suspension parts. My original intentions were to go with 20's, but I decided that I would run 15" steelies instead. In my opinion a 255/60/15 in front and 275/60/15 rears will look the best. That would give you ~27" tall front tire and ~28" rear.

Re: tire size help please!!

Believe me I understand! Sometimes I wonder if mine will ever be finished. I generally only get to work on mine on Saturdays. I'm getting close to the "trim-out" phase, then wiring, and hopefully reassembly. All I need is more time and more money!!! Good luck with it. Oh, welcome to the site. TONS of helpful people on here.

Here's mine with 4/6 ECE static drop with 15x7 (225/70/r15) in the front and 15x8 (275/60/r15) in the rear. Would likely want a little wider tire on the front if you have 8" rims.

What's the back spacing on rally's? 15x7 and 15x8? I was looking to get some bassets for my 68 stepper till I can afford a 20/22 setup

That truck looks sick. They are 15x8, seeing your truck just gets me that much more antsy all my parts are sitting in the boxes and I'm itching to put them on.

Re: tire size help please!!

Thanks... I guess I really need to measure the width of the rims. I know for a fact that the fronts are less wide than the back, that why I say 7". Somebody told me they may have been van wheels. I think most are using 8" all the way around and you would want to adjust the tire width to compensate. Mine look pretty narrow in the front.

There not Rallys, but 15x10 w/4" BS f&r. 295/50 rear, 265/50 front. Will be going to 265 or 275/60 in front to gain some additnal ground clearance.

Re: tire size help please!!

Those are both nice. So on the backspace did you do it just to get them farther out of the fender

On the back...could probably go with 5 -5-1/4" bs. On the front 4" bs is about it without rubbing the tie rod ends. PO put these on.
