Blazer Sun Visor Brackets, Are These Right?

I got these sun visor brackets with some other parts, and I dont know enough about the blazers, but are these the correct length or have they been shortened? The rods are 15" long

Just measured some, and came up with about 21 3/4".

Dang. I wonder why somebody would've shortened them.

I can't tell from the photo, but the Blazer visor brackets have a place to thread a bolt through to hold the hard top down.

They have definitely been modified in some way. A stock bracket does not have a point at the end of the rod.

They look like the right ones. The rod doesn't go all the way through the visor; the piece that sticks out the end is actually a separate piece.

I just pulled mine apart to replace the visors. I can post a pic later if you'd like.

Yes they are. I cut mine to get the bolt out of the nut imbedded in the double wall top (nut kept spinning). I planned to use the wire feeder and weld the rods back together but if your are available for a reasonable price I will make you an offer! Guy.

Interesting to hear that some of these visors didn't have a rod that goes all the way through. The rod on my visors is one piece and goes all the way through.

That is strange that they would be different. Mine are two piece. There is a metal bar that wraps around the middle and connects the two pieces together to make it the right length.

You can have them if you pay for the shipping...

Re: Blazer Sun Visor Brackets, Are These Right?

So I ordered replacement 'as original' sun visors and they are a different style than my originals and they won't mount up because the mounting holes are different. The originals are the same as the ones in the photo at the top of this thread. And the replacements are like these…

What am I missing here? Why are they different?

Those you pictured are for a truck, you cannot get new visor brackets for a blazer that I know of.

You might be able to rebuild the originals with the correct length arms from the repops.

Are the 69-72 K5 sunvisor brackets meant to remain on the winsheild when the top is off?

Holy crap !! $145 US is like $200 CND... Someone is getting a bit greedy. I needed a set for my Blazer and got 2 nice ones from Bill's trucks for $50 CND.
