new door seals
hi, need help ,my cousin & i are working on a 1968 gmc truck with shaved door handles we just installed the new door seals & the doors wont fully close ,it would close to the first spot ,,is there a secret or something we can do maybe to soften the seals ? we do have the right & left seals ,,,, thanks for any help

You can adjust the latch plates. But typically everyone has the same problem with new seals. After a period of time they will form n get better. Another thing you can do is under the step plate leave a 1/8" gap between the two where they meet, plus cut them at 45 degree angle will help equal the pressure somewhat. Florida heat will form them by summer's end.

depeding on which ones you bought, some are better than others, but they still have probelms, softseal makes good ones and they say gmc pauls push on ones are good
