Hughes Performance Reviews
Im thinking of ordering a transmission pan with drain from Hughes performance but dont know much about the quality. Wondering if anyone has dealt with them or know the quality oft he parts? Much thanks

Hughes makes good quality parts, best to get a cast aluminum pan VS a stamped steel one.

My dad had them rebuild the TH350 in his suburban and they did a real nice job! X2 on the aluminum pan.

My '69 C10 has one of their TH400 transmissions and a 2500 stall converter (Hughes as well). I haven't driven the truck with it yet as the engine is just now being installed. The PO swears the transmission was great behind the 396BB, but time will tell.

I have some of their converters in my stuff (700 hp Blown small lock) and I have had no problems. Their customer service was fantastic when I went from a nitrous motor to the blower motor they rep itched the blades in the converter for me at an reasonable price. 20% cost vs a new one and it was their suggestion!

The picture in that eBay ad is wrong. They're showing the high dollar finned aluminum pan. Your part description under the ad shows it to actually be a steel ordinary pan that you're buying for the money. Read the description. It doesn't even have a drain plug. I used one of their converters and I was happy with it. I found it very cheap through their eBay store

I just purchased a Hughes th400 pan and the quality is great! Mine is the extra 2 qts and comes with filter extension and all hardware. Can't say on anything else but the pan is nice! Got it from Summit and they shipped it for free.

I've been ordering from Summit since the early 90s with perfect and satisfying results every single time. I feel very sure it's a clerical mistake on their part with the wrong photos and not a purposeful bait and switch.

I always braze my own plugs in.
My brother had one of their torque converters. It towed well.
