Fix or Fragment?
Motor knocking, ruled out flywheel, lifters, pushrods. timing gear had alot of slack but didn't look like it was rubbing on the cover.

Re: Fix or Fragment?
Looks like a real clean truck.
Replacement engines aren't all that much and would still be cheaper than a new truck in the long run. If it were mine I'd probably rebuild what's in it if possible. Kim |

Re: Fix or Fragment?
no loss of power, runs like bat outa hadies! faster RPM's faster the knock. won't do it at certain point of low rpm. hard to tell where it is coming from, almost sounds like a connecting rod. As wore as the timing chain was, it proberly just needs a new motor.

From an engin builder standpoint (scrap it)
Buy a new one or build one You will pay more than a grand in just machining not even including parts Posted via Mobile Device
