The best and most application specific you can afford. But the question begs which harness? There are several even on a basic truck.

I watched a video on that american upgrade kit it seems to be a very set plus price isn't bad at all thanks all I'm going with that one.

A wiring harness need depends on several things. If you have a truck with only a few upgrades I would recommend a stock harness. If you have a killer custom then a build-your-own (BYO) is probably best. The stock harness will just route and plug in. Back to driving in a half day. The BYO harness can be thrown in there and use crimp splices and you will be in the same place you are now. Or with a BYO harness you can chase down the right connectors and solder them in and loom or tape and have a nice harness. So it really depends on how much time vs: how much money you want to spend. I have done it both ways and I prefer stock almost always. If you are worried about common upgrades like HEI or later alternator, the big harness companies can build a stock harness with those features.

Met these people at the Pate swap meet in Fort Worth last weekend and purchased a 12 circuit harness from them along with a pre packaged fuse/flasher/connector kit. Also picked up some wiring loom as well. Super nice folks! The guy who builds these worked for GM for 40 years. Best prices I've found. Hope this helps...
