Pitman Arm Question
I am in the middle of getting all of my parts rounded up to do a 5 lug / disc brake conversion on my 68 GMC. The thing I am not sure on is I have ordered a kit that has all new ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, and a pitman arm for a 87 R10 which is what all of the a arms, center link, spindles, etc. etc. came from. The power steering box is still the 68 unit will the pitman arm in the kit I have ordered work with this steering box or am I going to need to get a pitman arm for a 68 model?

Re: Pitman Arm Question
You will probably end using the 87 pitman. 68 being a drum brake was a different taper into the center link

Re: Pitman Arm Question
That is what I am hoping because the kit I have ordered has all 87 stuff and was hoping I wasn't going to have to buy a new 68 one since I want to replace all of these might as well put new instead of just having wore out 87 stuff replacing wore out 68 stuff.
