What is this?

Any clue what this is? It's on the driver side of the block between the two front plugs.

Awesome. Thanks. Any idea where the unit is for the oil pressure gauge?

Re: What is this?

Oil pressure gauge is mechanical, there is no sending unit.

... As long as your truck has gauges and not idiot lights, and it connects on the block right behind the intake manifold, slightly to the drivers side of the truck from the distributor.

Re: What is this?

As I understand it, the sender you posted is for the temperature gauge. There is one on the passenger side of the block for the Temp. idiot light.

You should have one or the other depending on which dash your truck has (gauge or light). There will be a block off plug screwed into the passenger side cylinder head. 1/2 NPT is the thread size.

Re: What is this?

Mine has them on both sides. Of course it's a 40 year old combination of trucks, who knows what has been done in the past.
