Finally got my stupid wheels on...20/22
This has been the worst headache ever with wrong wheel sizes...too low of a truck...stupid wheel shop in California and now I'm not even sure I like the look...but anyway, they fit now. Most of you guys probably won't like the stance/look...I'm ok with it but i just wish it was lower or bagged. This is the best i can do though for now...I am totally out of money and a baby due tomorrow so I'm just happy to get it figured out.
Now I have two 22's to sell and maybe I can recoup some money to paint the top soon. I also got my upper trim on since I last posted...Its powdercoated to match the rims and the top and grill etc...is gonna be gray too.

Man, that looks good! Congrats on the baby. The stork won't be bringing me mine until the end of August.

I think the stance is perfect.
I've tired of the ground dragging.

Well I think the stance is perfect. Im not a big wheel fan, or thin sidewall person, but that really is a personal taste thing.
I really like that you had the trim powder coated, very cool idea. And painting the top to match is also gonna be neat.

X2! I think the results look great! IMO, using tall wheels works against getting it low enough... most of the rigs that are low enough AND have tall wheels are EXTENSIVELY modified from stock, with (in most cases) the wheelwells mostly or entirely cut away. |

For sure! I was going to make front inners and all that but I was still going to have problems turning without making more mods to the suspension etc. Im really happy with it now. It doesnt ride very well but I tend to be flash over function. Plus i never have the money to do things the 'good' way.

Re: Finally got my stupid wheels on...20/22
It looks really good. Its the same color as my 71 Chevy. I wasn't happy with the color of mine until I saw yours. I hope one day mine looks as good as yours.

Re: Finally got my stupid wheels on...20/22
Cool...Thanks guys. It feels good to have some support. Its just been a really frustrating process of dealing with fitament issues and all that...Im happy with it and it isnt rubbing at all really so for that I am super relieved. I probably would have been perfectly fine with a smaller width rim and tire in the back but I do like the thick meat and deep dish back there.
For anyone wondering the fronts are 20x8 with a 255-35-20 +15mm offset Backs are 22x9.5 with a 285-35-22 same offset. I had to minitub the back for those to fit...the fronts Im running stock inner fenders.

Re: Finally got my stupid wheels on...20/22
I'm usually partial to suburbans that sit completely level, but there is something about yours that I like, a lot. I also like the color. I like it all around.

Do you mind putting up some pics of the interior and rear of the truck. Also what size drop spring do you have on the rear?

very nice! I personally like that stance too. I love them stock, lifted, lowered, and slammed....
Looking forward to seeing it with the trim
