drop block hole width and dia.
Sup guys. Im gonna try to make some drop blocks for my 72 coil spring rear end. Can anyone measure the width between the U-bolts and the dia. of eeach side for me. I'm at work and don't have the truck with me.

I used a 7/8" drill to make the holes for the block so there was a little bit of wiggle room for alignment, but I also used 3/4" rod for the u-bolt (some people use a smaller rod, I advise 3/4"). There should be 3 1/2" of gap between the sides of the u bolt and you want the bolt just to slide right in so you need the center of the holes to be 4 3/8" apart.
3 1/2" + (.5 x 7/8"= hole center x 2)= 4 3/8" I also explain it on my build thread if you want to take a look!

Holes should be 4.25" on center. I also drilled 7/8" holes in mine to allow ease of installation.

I made some yesterday with yalls specs. perfect fit. Now I just need to get some longer u bolts. I talked to bud that is gonna hook me up.
