Re: Drive shaft ?
You do.
Measure your truck, everything installed, at ride height. One piece, tailshaft to center of rear ujoint. Two piece, tailshaft to center of carrier bearing, center of carrier bearing to center of rear ujoint. Way too many chassis lengths, motor mounts, motor mount positions to trust a measurement from somebody with a simmilar truck. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Drive shaft ?
I have a 350 w a turbo 400 in my 68. I had the driveshaft cut to 54.5" from center to center.

Re: Drive shaft ?
Tru dat! Lol
Tailshaft to center of 1st ujoint should be 2.5" so if you want a center to center measurement just subtract 2.5" from your tailshaft measurement. In general a tailshaft measurement is better when having a shaft built because not all trans yokes are the same. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Drive shaft ?
Ex. Big block, TH400, 73-87 Kmember swap and custom mounts. My drive shaft is 55 1/4" long, Tailshaft to center. (the best I can recall) Spicer Ujoints. 4/6 drop.
But, .. your truck will likely be different. I'd measure it as Brad mentions, absolutely.
