Question Protection from bugs on the front of our square body P/U.

Even on very short runs in the Summer I collect some bugs on the
front part (Verticle) of the hood. Sometimes they can be a b--ch to
get clean. Is there anything on the market that can be used on a
temporary bases to solve the problem? I thought I heard once that
someone had good luck using "Saran Wrap" just to get to the destination
then pull it off; then do the samething on the way home. Any thoughts
or ideas?? Thanks Larry

The windshield cuts thru the air like a giant fly swatter...I swear it doesnt miss a single bug. Must be the aerodynamics.

baby oil and water mixture if you know you're getting into bugs. Rain X helps and sticks around longer.

KQQL IT:

No effect on the paint? If not sounds like an idea.

cory d:

Truck is waxed to a maximum; still hard to take off bugs.

Anybody hear of the saram wrap idea?? Thanks: Larry

I used PAM spray once, worked pretty well. Just a very good wash/wax will also do wonders along with the Rain-X on headlights and windshield.

I've got the stainless lip on my 76 also. I'm not a fan of the grandpa bug deflector so this was the next best thing to save whats left of the paint there.
