Frame/suspension questions
Hey guys,
i have my 71' c10 and a 69' CST donor with a Great Frame. i want to swap frames but i want to keep the 71 disc can i just swap over the front ends an rear ends ? Will it be hard? or can i just put the disc brakes an spindles on the 69 a arms ? |

just remove the crossmember and discs as one unit and bolt to the 69frame

When we built my '67 on a '69 frame we took everything off a '71 so it would have disc brakes in front and 5 lug bolt pattern.
No matter which way you do it make sure you use the master cylinder off the disc brake system. We did have to elongate a few bolt holes when we put the '71 cradle on the '69 frame if I remember right. When we moved the '71 rearend over to the '69 frame we took everything from the '71 including the track bar and trailing arms. It is a pretty straight forward swap though.
