Drop spindle with air bags
Im trying to decide if i want a static drop or to bag my truck. If i do a static im looking at 5.5 in front and 8 in the back, with springs and drop spindles. If i bag it my question is can i get the same drop with out using drop spindles.
Im only using my truck normaly day driving and cruises. Not really looking for a road course truck. Thanks |

You need drop spindles either way.

Re: Drop spindle with air bags
Because with bags you can raise it up so you don't lose your a arms on the speed bump.

Re: Drop spindle with air bags
Spindles and springs will get your truck's front a-arms about 2" off of the ground.
Bags (and spindles) will allow you to set your a-arms on the ground. Spindles help with front end camber. Plus they are a cheap 2.5"-3" drop.

Re: Drop spindle with air bags
Bags will ride smoother then a metal spring and your ride height is adjustable on the fly.

Re: Drop spindle with air bags
Bags ride awesome. My truck rides like my buddy's new Escalade. Plus you can adjust the height. 2" off the ground would be a pretty aggressive static drop lol

Re: Drop spindle with air bags
looks like im going to bad it. i do have a one more question. I see people cutting the spring seat out of the lower control arm and some just installing a piece of metal over the lower and bolting the bag to that. what is the best way.

Re: Drop spindle with air bags
that will limit the drop. Many people cut a hole in the arm and use 8-9inch pipe to get the bag to sit lower.
