Who doesn't like a $100 truck?

A horse ranch had put this thing out to pasture and I couldn't resist dragging it home. Changed 1 flat, aired up another, fresh batt. some gas down the carb, locate secret starter button, fired right up and drove on the trailer. Not much of a parts truck as pretty much everything is shot, this thing was rode hard and put away wet. Engine/trans. and rear end will go in my '67 BBW SWB.

Re: Who doesn't like a $100 truck?

Not the original engine. Unless there was a long water pump and pulleys and brackets swapped onto the original engine. But for 100 bucks... there will be some useable stuff in there.

I bet what's left of those seat covers and that blanket could tell some wild stories!

No way in the world anyone could go wrong with a 100 dollar truck, nice score!

Good score. Not sure if you noticed, but the inside of the tailgate has a little rust blister starting...

I'm sure you could find $100 profit in that truck, so I think you came out with a pretty sweet deal!

Re: Who doesn't like a $100 truck?

Truck was I6/3OTT, engine/trans are from a later truck probably '80s. The bed has plywood to cover the gaping holes and yes it was steel floor. The hay was about an inch thick on top of the dash and about 4 inches in the corners of the floorboard.

Great buy Tremayne! Deals like this make it possible to build a decent truck on a budget.

You can't get hurt on a $100 truck that drives.

Re: Who doesn't like a $100 truck?

Easy to work on the mechanism with a tailgate like that

Might just be the picture, but I think that dash pad looks pretty good. Maybe the hay was protecting it from the sun

$100. Man, I live in the wrong part of the country.

Re: Who doesn't like a $100 truck?

I particularly like the "high water mark" all the way around the body - was it buried that deep in mud?

Nothing a little polish can't buff out on that truck! Clean it up and list it with "great patina"!
