Will an 85 axle fit under a 69?
I found an 85 for sale with a 454, 3.73 12 bolt rear end & comes with a set of 2.73 rear gears. Its a complete rusty truck, I would pull the engine and axles to put in my 69, and scrap the rest. worth it or not?

he wants 1700 for it, I think I could get him to 1200, he doesnt have a job, and is hard up for $$

That axle can "fit", but it's not a bolt deal for a coil spring truck. Also remember that it is a bit wider than the 69 axle.

I kinda knew, that! One more reason to buy a welder!! how expensive is it to have an axle shortened? I don't want wider axles I want deep dish rims!

Man I paid $600 for what sounds like a simmilar sbc equiped truck a few years ago.

Ya I decided to not go that route, to much work, not enough room and axles are to wide.
