The Carb Shop Rocks !

After two rebuilds locally by so called "Experts" I packed up my QJet and shipped it off to the Carb Shop in Ontario Calf. Little more than 3 weeks later I got a call saying it's ready to go? I figured at this time of year it would take longer to get it back. They even sent me a proper 1/4 in spacer/gasket needed for my application. Went for the Stage 1 rebuild which includes rebushing the throttle body, sealing the well plugs and a complete overhaul of seals, gaskets, accel pump and dyno running it afterwards. When I got it back installed it fired up on first twist of the key ! Ran perfect for about 2 min , hit the throttle to kick off the choke and she settled down right around 750 RPM, Life is good ! I talked to Randy a few times on the phone, real nice guy.

Great endorsement, I've heard of that shop and was curious about their work. Good to hear it worked out. How much for a Stage One rebuild and did it include re-plating of the carb?? Photo of your new Quad?

Re: The Carb Shop Rocks !

Finding someone who really knows their way around a Qjet is rare these days. The only reason I swapped to Holley stuff when I had carbed trucks was simply for ease of rebuild.

A good running QJet is perhaps the best carb out there for fuel economy and power. The problem is I could never keep one running well
