Have a few Questions
The engine in my 67 just went south. I'm thinking about swaping in a ls motor and tranny. Just curious what the aproxamat going rate for a ls motor is.

you can get a 4.8 for under $500, a 5.3 for under $750 and an LQ4 ( 6.0) for around $1200, depending on your location too.
If you want a trans, then add $600-900 for that. You should also look at the FAQ link (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=456787) , it will help you A LOT!

you can find them in Texas all day in the 5-700 range that with harness and accessories

I got my lq4 for $600, (super deal), and my 4l80 for $300. That's the cheap part though. The whole swap has me at right about $4000 and the only thing I went expensive on was headers

i picked up m,y 4.8 4l60e harness and ecm for 1100 with 150k on it
