Tire width/bed side hitting

Just bought new wheels and tires, got alot of work done on the bed, set it on the frame to park in the shed for a while and come to find out the bed sides hit the tires. Held a fender up and the tire is close there too... too wide of tires..?

Any ideas on what i can do, id love love love to keep these tires and wheels. i dont really want to lift the box up and the body lines wont line up, look goofy. any ideas? How is everyone else running these big wide tires? 265-65-18

Build a mini tub for the inside of the bed.

Didnt think of that, but that is a good idea... May have to at the minimum roll the fenders lip,

i had the same issue when trying to stuff some 275, 60's in the back end. I cut out the inner fenders and am in the process of building some mini tubs using the piece I cut out and some rolled 16 gauge sheet metal

Looks like your wheels are offset too far to the inside. Spacers would be a bolt-on fix.

I would put the fenders on the bedside to make sure you will like the look, I suspect you might find they look like they are too far into the wheel well. I think the depth of the spacer you will need might put to much stress on the lengthened wheel studs. Last thing you need is for your rear tire to pass you on the road (I've seen that in person, not on my rig, one in the on coming lane, tightens your spinkter right up).

I have 2 inch spacers on the front of my 57 Chevy truck. the holes are offset, so there is no lug stress. On the rear, I have a rear axle out of a 72 Chevy truck, so I had to go with flat wheels. That is why I have the front spacers.
I have 1" spacers on my corvette. spacers have been on for years. Just get them the right thickness. If they are narrow spacers, you might have to get shorter lug bolts or cut them so they will not hit the wheels when bolted on. Just remember, you need at least one thread showing after the spacers are in stalled and nuts on tight..
By the way, the fenders have room for a one foot wide tire.
My tires all the way around are 255/50/17, and they are on 8.5 inch wide wheels and they clear with no problem. the tires are 11 inches wide.

Well guys I ended up cutting an arch in the bed sides and will make micro tubs when I get the wood in. Thanks for all the replies.

And I do have spacers in the front to clear the pitnum arm and radius rod ends. Seems to be just fine.
