Rust repair around rear window
My brother just bought a '73 and didn't wait for me to go with him and apparently he didn't think the rust issues were as bad as I do. Anyway, on the driver's side, lower corner of the rear cab window, there's a fairly bad rust spot but I can't seem to find any place that sells a patch panel for this area.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, or would I just be better off going to a salvage yard with a Sawzall and cutting out a piece of a cab there? |

Re: Rust repair around rear window
I don't think I've seen a patch panel for this. Sawzall, or make your own patch.
(I used junk inner fenders for a lot of mine. I was changing them anyway) Maybe someone else has seen some?

Yes, junkyard and a sawzall. OEM steel is better then any patch panels anyway.

Re: Rust repair around rear window
That's what I was afraid of. Unfortunately, a buddy of mine just had a decent cab he sent to the scrap yard, because he only bought the truck for the big block and rear end. This was about a week before my brother got his truck and I found out I'd need any of what he scrapped...
