68 c10
Hello all I have finally got around to working on my 68 lb c10 a buddy of mine has hooked me up with most of what I need to put it back together here's a list of what mods are going in it and some pics
T5 5spd overdrive manual trans Built 350 52cc heads 12-1 comp 274 dur cam 3-5 drop springs Repainted white Rest stock Will post pics later Posted via Mobile Device |

here are the pics of the transmission I made it started with a 95 Camaro wc t5 which uses a ford bell housing bolt pattern I went to the local junk yard found a nwc t5 with correct chevy bell housing bolt pattern I made the nwc transmission case into a wc case with some machining everyone said it could not be done I used all the internals from the Camaro trans

more the bearing bores had to be enlarged for the tapered bearings in a wc t5 the nwc t5 uses roller bearings and end play is not controlled as you can see in the last pic of what happens with to much end play in a t5 also had to drill and tap holes for bearing retainer on counter shaft

here are pics of the truck pulled bed off and all rear suspension for cleaning/painting will finish inside then work on outside paint it all up this is not a show truck just a cruise truck have to find a motor for my 76 k20 so I can pull the built 350 I put in there and install it in this 68 also some pics of the build process of the t5
