Lower column mount with larger column?
I'm mounting a '71 van column in my '57. The van column is larger diameter than the original and won't fit through the original floor plate. I'm thinking about taking a die grinder to the floor plate & massaging it into place over the column, but thought I'd ask what others are doing / have done before I start making sparks.
So how are folks mounting the lower part of the column to the floor / firewall? |

Re: Lower column mount with larger column?
Wow, that was *much* easier than anticipated. Die grinder + body saw. Done in moments, bent easy to get it around the column.
