Classic Intsruments Gauges

Has anyone used these gauges from classic intruments? My truck only came with the speedo and fuel gauge cluster, then I installed water temp and oil pressure. I have beefed up my motor now and need to have a tach and would rather have it in the cluster like this. I chose this one because Id like to have them all on the same cluster to monitor them easily. Now Id like to switch to this setup and was wondering if anyone had any comments on the difficulty of the setup it was to install. It says that it comes will all sending units, wiring and wiring for the turn signals, do you think that I will run into any problems? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
This is the link to it on summit.

And this is the one I am thinking about getting.

Re: Classic Intsruments Gauges

I used them in my build, I had never messed with anything like this before but the instructions were great and the customer service was some of the best I have ever seen.

Dakota Digital also has some nice set ups as well

Did you get them from summit or another dealer?

I got mine from board member '55BelAirTim' - he was a supporting vendor at one time and he was way cheaper than the price in the Summit link you posted. His website is www.timssuspensiononline.com. Nothing against Summit (I order plenty of parts from them) but there are many supporting vendors that will be able to get you a better deal on those gauges.

I have seen his website and was thinking about getting them from him. Did you get the 160 mph and 10k speedo and tach? and how long did it take to get to you?

I got the Velocity Series just like you posted above, but mine are black faced. If I remember correctly (it's been over a year since I got them) it only took a week or so for them to come in.

Which signal generator did it come with because I have a th350. Also, do you like the gauges and do they work well?

Re: Classic Intsruments Gauges

you can use sn16 screws into speedometer port on transmission. i really like the gauges they work very well i know the gauges are expensive but with the electic sender you can monitor the engine better, i got 160 mph and 8k tach

Re: Classic Intsruments Gauges

So other than having to buy another signal generator, all the wiring that was needed was provided and did not have to buy more wires?
