Your best bet is to just play with it. You need to know how to use layers. Layers are kind of like stacking sheets of paper on top of each other. To lower the a truck, I usually make a path from the bottom of the truck, wheel wells, and straight across from the bumpers to the edge of the photo and copy that section to a new layer. Then you can drop that layer down until it is low enough. To put on new rims, paste the rims you want on layers between the background (original photo) and the layer with the lowered truck body. To scale them, use transform under the edit menu. To color the body, make a new layer and fill it with the desired color in the shape of the body of the truck (don't color the windows, door handles, chrome, etc.) You can then set the layer to color or overlay (top of the layers pallet.) That should give you the highlights and shadows of the truck. If that doesn't work, you can make a hue/saturation adjustment layer and set it to "colorize". Then you can adjust the hue, saturation, and lightness until you get the desired color.

I have a couple of files on my computer that I recently did for other board members. I could e-mail you the photoshop files so you can see what I did. The layered file is about 1.2MB. Send me an e-mail at chris@imageink.com if you want me to send it to you.
