What's a 56' Chevy PU worth?

I realize this is for '67 -'72, but there's an auction tomorrow with a pretty nice 1956 Chev 3200 stepside on it. Straight 6 and in overall good shape. I have a buddy interested in it, but we don't know what that should be worth. Anybody have an idea?

Look on eBay to get a sense. Also try the Hemmings.com. It really depends upon the condition of the vehicle. There is also a collector car/truck website that has some software to estimate vehicle value based upon condition. None of those mean a thing since it is only worth what somebody wants to pay for it...know what I mean? Good Luck to your friend.

WHO KNOWS

I looked at 1 over here last week that was a daily driver and needed alot of tlc and he was asking $2500. so who really knows .At an auction if I want something I pay top premium $ if I'm trying to sell at an auction I can't give it away ,go figure I would say it should be around the 2k mark.OF course I'm wrong 50% of the time allso

There's a truck of around that year, IIRC it's a GM 3100. needs tlc and has a flatbed on the back and the guy wants like $250 for the whole thing. It's in a junkyard but definately a fixable truck so he won't part it (at least that was his decision a while ago).

I just bought a rustfree 57 short step in Idaho for 2500.00 no motor or trans but a sweet body. 55-57 2nd series make great little cruisers.
