adding 4'' lift. what needs to be changed

lookin to put in a 4'' lift kit in my '69 gmc 4x4 3/4ton, dana 44 front, and dana 60 rear, front has closed knuckle. is this just a drop in deal or is there more involved? at moment rear has 7 or 8 leafs plus helper springs which will come out, front has 3 leafs. will there be any driveshaft issues? and who sells a good setup? thanx, paul

You might want to ask your question over in the 4x4 area,... unless someone has some info.
Anyone?

as i remember for 80-87 chevys once you get higher than 4'' lift the steering arm gets involved, im just wondering if one is available for 67-72 trucks?

I don't plan on any more then 4". I should not have to change anything other then possibly the closed knuckle to an open plus disk brakes.

Re: adding 4'' lift. what needs to be changed

From the Tuff Country Instructions:

Quote:
Tuff Country EZ-Ride Suspension highly recommends installing a raised steering arm once a 4” suspension system has been installed.
If you have not already ordered your raised steering arm, please contact Tuff Country or your local Tuff Country dealer and order part # 70100.
You'll need extended shocks, brake line re-locators, vent hoses extended and driveline angles checked
