Frame Wireing - Dual Fuel Tanks
I have an 84 crew cab that I am getting close to putting back together but the frame wireing has been all hacked up from previous people and I also no longer have dual tanks on the truck and want to get rid of that extra wireing.
I know this is the wireing for the lights And I believe this wire is for the sending unit. (Hooks into the engine wireing harness) Is this the tank swich wireing? Can I just extend the sending unit wireing and delete all the fuel tank switch wires and everything will work fine?

Re: Frame Wireing - Dual Fuel Tanks
The wiring harness for the second tank, the switch on the dash and the switching valve is a seprate harness. If you start at the valve you will see where it unplugs from the main tank harness. It has one wire from the switch to the fuse box under the dash for power. 4 wires from the switch to the valve. The wire for the sending unit main tank plugs into this harness. You unplug it from that harness and plug it into the sender on the main tank.
Hopefully this makes some sence.
