Brake and Axle Questions....Rear

Hey there.
This forum is the biggest help that I've ever had with any vehicle!
I've a C20 from 1970 (although I wonder about a LOT of parts!)
I need help idetifying my Rear End and Rear Brakes so that I know what parts to order.
The Rear End Cover has 14 Bolts.
The Wheels have 8 Lugs and also 8 Bolt Axle in the center.
Are these floating axles?
Do the Drums come off without removing the Axle?
The Drums sit/stand out 2 or 3 inches from the wheel on the inside. (nice design! I like it as it should run cool.)

My problem is twofold....
1 - The rear wheel cylinders are leaking brake fluid. So I have to replace'em.
2 - The Master Cylinder is tiny and completely manual! Horrible without a Booster!

I plan to add a new master cylinder/booster as $$$ comes in.

This is a heavy truck and I carry a heavy load, but only once a week for about 15 Miles as my delivery service for a local store. (up to 1 Ton).

So far, the help I've found here has me at just under $3K on this truck and I could not be happier with my basket case turned work truck.
Some front end and steering work had to be farmed out, but this forum has helped me keep a good budget, to say the least, and save my embarassment with dumb questions by just reading old threads.
I'm a total newb, but think that I may have an Old Chevy Truck larvea...not quite the "bug" yet.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Re: Brake and Axle Questions....Rear

A 14 bolt cover makes it sound like a later model axle.
No, the drums will not come off with out removing the axles.
The full floater axles work very much like a front axle, with the hub/drum mounted to a hollow spindle. The only real difference is the non-turning part.
