Weekend Install Complete!!!

Hey guys/gals, just wanted to share my weekend install over the last two weekends. Me and a couple buddies got my ECE 4/6 drop kit with 1" lowering blocks and tubular control arms installed. Needles to say i'm pretty happy with the final outcome. No rubbing on the front tires 255/55/17, but I do need to reroute my exhaust in the rear to give more clearance from hitting the diff.

I bought a porterbuilt c-notch but decided not to remove the bed to install so I will be selling the notch and purchasing a CPP notch in replacement.

Enjoy the pics.

Rick

The new stance looks great! I have been doing a lot of research on C10 alignments. Here is a thread I did on my latest findings. I hope it helps you when you get your alignment done!

Thanks for the info. We have a friend that owns a shop that we have been taking our lowered vehicles to for years.

Re: Weekend Install Complete!!!

Wheel and tire specs?

is it a 4/6 drop + 1" blocks in the rear = 4/7 drop,
or is it a 4/5 drop + 1" blocks in the rear = 4/6 drop.

Thanx
Dano

Re: Weekend Install Complete!!!

Looks great! The Porterbuilt notches are the best built (I am running one), but they do require a lot of drilling. Taking the bed off is easy with a few buddies, but I sure would hate to see that slick paint get scratched. I have seen lots of the CPP notche work well, too. Good luck, and your truck is SHARP!

Re: Weekend Install Complete!!!

How does it drive as compared to the original height? Did you put a front sway bar on it too?

Thanks. Thats what i'm afraid of with the paint, plus my fuel tank is located in the rear of the bed. I already ordered my new notch so it's okay.

No problem, should work out great for you. Keep me posted.

It's a little more on the stiff side, but overall it wasn't to bad. I just ordered a new sway bar from CPP so that should get here by the end of the week as well as my new notch.

Re: Weekend Install Complete!!!

That looks great.

Any chance we could get a measurement(front and rear) from the center of wheel to the fender arch?
