84-86 CCUV question

Just out of curiosity what could one speculate the value/fair sale price to be for a 1984 M1008 CCUV (w/no mods) with at or around 100000km/62000mi and a good but not flawless body/chassis(ie. no visible body panel cancer). Provided the cab mounts, corners, floors, rad support, and other things that usually go rotten in the great white north are in good shape and the drivetrain is in good working order. I'm not selling one, but I've always been interested in them. Thanks a bunch for your speculations.

Dave

Re: 84-86 CCUV question

Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicle. Pickups are M1008s and M1028s, have 14FF rears (lockers) and NP208s. M1028s have trak lok front ends, M1028a1s have NP205s as do M1031 (C&C) M1028a2s are dually conversions with NP205s, N1028a3s are dually conversions with NP208s, M1010s are ambulances, M1009s are Blazers. Only thing 24v are the starters and glow plug systems. Quite easy to work on once you get the hang of it, they're just K30 pickups with some modifications for the military.

A running inspected one in the rust belt here usually brings about $3500 and up.

I remember driving those trucks in the Army!! I would like to have a Blazer or Truck for driving around. Loudest diesels I ever heard.

Re: 84-86 CCUV question

I paid $1800 for mine, but it needed a bit of work. The cab and bed are really nice, but the tailgate, one fender, and one door were bashed in. Someone had already put a 454 in place of the diesel, which I prefer anyway. I need to find some body panels, paint them and then get some new tires on it and it will be a pretty nice work truck then.

Re: 84-86 CCUV question

Thanks for the posts folks. Mods can delete this thread at their leisure since I got the info I asked for and its not some mind blowing technical info that needs preservation. Thanks again.
