Will these rims clear?
I've been trolling on here ofr a while and I am getting started on my fathers 1972 C-10 2wd long bed truck. First objective is to get rims and tires that it can roll on. I am looking at American Racing AR32 series rims in a 5x5 pattern at 7 inches wide for the front. The offset is -5 mm and has 3.8 inches of back space. I ahve read several post about clearance issues with the calipers so before I go and order is any one running these rims or can tell me about back spacing/clearance issues.
Thanks 88Ironduke |

Welcome!
I can't offer much on your wheels question, but we'd all like to see your truck.

Re: Will these rims clear?
Making a road 4'th of July weekend to go get it. Parked it at a very good freinds place while I was in the service. Now I am retired and finally was able to get access to a garage here in Jersey and not be raped for $$$$. Its a special build as my father bought this particular truck in Detroit brand new.
I will post pics upon completion of a Pennsylvania road trip! Its a very wide state you know. |

Re: Will these rims clear?
Might just want to consider getting a set of steel wheels and some tires (used) as rollers. Then once you get it home and settle on a build direction you can make some informed choices as to tires and wheels.

Re: Will these rims clear?
If you get in a hurry to buy wheels and tires, you may end up buying three sets, like I did, lol. I think those wheels will fit, though, as long as you're not using a drop spindle.

Re: Will these rims clear?
Thanks for the feed back. I will just hold off for now and see if I can find a set of decent steel rims and used rubber. Pics forth coming.
