Do I need to change front coil srings with engine swap??
I have 71 c-10 6cly truck, i pulled the 6 and droped in a sb 400. The truck seems very soft and likes to bouce around. I know it needs a good set of shocks but what about springs. Is there a diffrence between the to diff engine trucks or are they just worn out. What would or have yall done. Thanks in adv, seth

New shocks should put you back in business.

I had a 71 parts truck I used to swap over many Parts to my 68. The 71 had a 307 in it and my 68 had 250 six. The springs on the 71 had one more coil and coils were slightly larger in diameter. I decided to go with the original 68 springs when I swapped to 350 engine and disc brakes. Have had no problems.
