Stupid question #1
Is it possible to take the Entire front crossmember,suspension off without undoing the ball joint bolts an taking the spings out ??

Just my .02, anything worth doing (especially that much work) would be worth taking things apart, cleaning, painting, etc.
Possible, .. yeah. Something I would do or recommend? Not really. .. just me.

If you are just lowering the suspension to paint the frame it is possible to drop the entire front crossmember to do it. The engine would have to be either removed or suspended from above (caution: dangerous to work under) and the engine stands, shocks, brake lines, idler arm, and steering box would have to be disconnected. This is what I did when I swapped my front suspension, you can see it in my build thread. But I am lazy and didn't paint my frame as I am going to break the entire truck down one winter and paint everything individually.

Yes, you can remove the whole front member with springs on it. Did it on my disassembled 69 frame. Going to rebuild everything when I get a chance.
