how do i replace the ignition switch on 81 c10

My dads mechanic pulled out the ignition switch to replace but I can't wait till he comes back next week. Could you guys show some pictures of where it was located and how install it again.

The ignition switch is located on the top side of the steering column, down towards the firewall. There is a rod that operates it, which comes down from the key switch. The ignition switch itself is connected to the column with some small screws, a small bolt/nut combo, and starting/aligning them is a real treat.

I have swapped out my ignition switch without dropping the steering column, and it's been a while, all I remember from the task is that it wasn't a ton of fun. I think I had a couple shots at it, since I didn't get the rod in the correct position the first try.

I've seen some that refer to the key switch in the column as the ignition switch, although technically that isn't it. If that would happen to be what you are referring to, I have no experience on that process.
