Need someone to bring me back to reality!
Hey guys,
I have ran into a dilemma...I'm cheating on my 70 K20 and thinking about leaving her. Before you bash me, hear me out please. My 70 K20 is almost out of the paint shop and it has been in there for 5 months. I have pretty much everything to finish her and will only take me about 2-3 weeks to do everything once I get her back. Just little detail stuff like a new rubber mat, trim, weather stripping. This is my 3rd 69-70 truck. I have always loved driving them as they are just a blast. Here's where woman number 2 comes in. On somewhat of a whim I flew down to Anchorage last weekend with the idea of buying a nice older 95-97 power stroke or Cummins truck to play with. I ended up buying this 2002 Dodge 2500 with the Cummins in it. It was way too clean to pass up and I bought it from a true enthusiast of this particular model truck which is always good when buying any vehicle. Needless to say it is a blast to drive and the most fun I have had in recent memory (I also own a pro touring 68 Chevelle and 67 Nova SS) Here's the thing, I don't need the space or money but, I'm short on time always and feel like two 4x4 trucks is a bit much. That and a 450 Horsepower/850 Foot lbs of torque powered truck is a bit funner than a 70 K20 with a 350 and a granny gear 4 speed that tops out at 60 mph. Should I let my old girl go to someone who will make her priority number 1 in their life or should I hang on to her for a rainy day? I hope you guys will understand and give me some good advice. I have been fortunate and blessed with good opportunities in life enough to have owned 18 classics/hot rods and while I have missed a few I have been fine selling other ones. I know the true feeling of regret doesn't come out until the vehicle is gone though. I've added a few pictures...

Heck no keep the k20 sell the dodge and buy a duramax! Well on the other hand you may need to sell the chevy to afford to keep putting trannies in that dodge. Totally your choice but there's nothing better then getting a thumbs up or wave because your driving something cool. The dodge just fits in with the crowd.

If you are 2 or 3 weeks from finishing the truck don't quit on her now! I'm still dreaming of being that close!

Man you guys crack me up. So true on all accounts. Maybe I'm just distracted at the moment. Who knows. This one has a fresh transmission in it with upgrades (Dude I got it from is the lawyer in town for all the Dodge Dealerships) Still planning on doing the ATS transmission swap when the old one goes out. $2500 gets you 5 years and 500,000 miles Warranty.

Its not a CST K20 is it? Vintage Windmills is always looking for another truck. :-)
