Lowering question on drop spindles
I have a 69 gmc step side and wart to lower it. I have front suspension from a 1991 suburban 5 lug and disc brakes. Looking to drop it 3-inches in the front and 4-inches in the back.
1 - Should I get 3-inch drop spindles or something less and use drop springs? 2 - Will a 3-inch drop affect steering or turning? 3 - can I use stock 15" wheels with the 3" drop? 4 - Anyone have an opinion on Crown or Spring Tech spindles? I plan on using 4-inch drop springs on rear as I have trailing arms. Any help is greatly appreciated as I am new at this. My 17 year old is driving me crazy to re-construct our project. Re: Lowering question on drop spindles
I think for 3 in spindles to work some clearance may need to be done on the lower control arm depending on backspacing.

Re: Lowering question on drop spindles
Dumb question, what is back spacing? Can that be taken care of with choice of wheels?
