73-87 brake booster/MC removal tools needed
Hello All,
Im usually in the 60-66 area. Im off to get a booster, Master cylinder and proportioning valve from a 73-87 pick up at the local yard. Can anyone provide info on tools needed to remove the booster? I understand the 4 bolts inder the dash and linkage. Are these metric? The lines I can cut with a tubing cutter. Thanks, Glenn

From about 1975 or 76 on they are 6 metric nuts on the firewall (15mm if I remember correctly). Make sure you have a wrench and a 3/8 socket set the nuts are hard to get to, and if the truck has undercoating you will need a sharp screwdriver to dig out the nuts before you can get a wrench on them.
The prop valve is held on with SAE bolts, so make sure you have both sets. Good Luck! -Sam
