Disconnecting parking brake cables from the trailing arms?
Am I missing something? '70 long bed C10. Im not replacing the parking brake cables, just the trailing arms. How do you get the cables out of the bracket on the trailing arm? Im not seeing where it seperates or comes apart and the slot in the bracket is way too small to just snap it out of there. So what am I missing that is probably so obvious that im just not seeing it.
Thanks fellas Andrew |

Re: Disconnecting parking brake cables from the trailing arms?
Under the cab you'll see an adjustment bolt, it's about 5-6" long. If you loosen that adjustment bolt about half way out it will give you enough room to get it loose.
The intermediate cable is very long it goes from one trailing arm up, under the cab and makes a big loop back to the other trailing arm. It sounds like you just need some slack in the Int cable to get the arms to come out.
